Bear Hugs

I met Andrew at my office and I knew instantly, this is good person. His smile and his laugh immediately made everyone in the room light up and to truly get excited when he was with you. But it was the second time I ever saw Andrew that made me feel that he was a great person. Andrew was working very hard at Torchy's, cleaning tables and speaking with guests who needed some help, but as soon as my wife and I walked onto the patio, Andrew immediately ran over to us and gave me the biggest bear hug I had ever received from anyone. Not only that, he immediately asked us how we were doing and what video games I had been playing lately. Then, he remembered that my wife had been sick and he asked her how she was feeling after months of not seeing one another. It really made us both feel so very special that he had remembered so much about us, after knowing us at that point, for so little time. From that day on, every single time Andrew and his Dad were scheduled to come in to my office I knew it was going to be a great day. He made those around him feel special and I hope I one day I can make people feel that way too. We love you Andrew and we will miss you... Scott and Amanda Essig
